Global Handwashing Day 2019

Every year, October 15 is celebrated as Global Handwashing Day to raise awareness as to how handwashing is necessary to save children and adults from different diseases. This year's theme is "Clean Hands for All". The theme focuses on the importance of handwashing equity and follows the push to leave no one behind. It is estimated that 53,000 Pakistani children, aging 5 years, die annually because of diarrhea due to lack of water and sanitation services.
