Senior analysts have advised Pakistan’s policy makers to adopt an honest and truthful approach in dealing with the situation arising in the aftermaths of the 2 May 2011 Abbotabad Operation by the American Special forces to kill Osama bin Laden. In a seminar on “War on Terror: Post-Osama regime,” organized by SDPI in Islamabad, there was a near consensus among the retired civilian and military bureaucrats, academia and the civil society representatives that THE military establishment and intelligence services should be brought under civilian control.
