Dr. Vaqar's Lecture at University of Lahore
As the world community contemplates about the post-2015 development agenda (once MDGs period reaches maturity) it is time for the developing world for getting its preferences heard. The post-2015 proposals currently being submitted have very little input from the developing countries. It is equally important that country-specific strategies should be taken in to account. Countries such as Pakistan facing multifarious challenges require out of the box solutions in order to get back on to the growth trajectory. This lecture delivered at the University of Lahore, Islamabad, is an endeavour to think in new directions so that growth and sustainable development discourse in Pakistan can be made as participatory as possible. This should ultimately pave way for a shared vision upon which widest possible segments of stakeholders may embark.
